What is Skin Lesion Removal?
A skin lesion is anything characterized by abnormal growth or appearance on the skin that differs from the rest of the skin surrounding the area. Skin lesions are characterized in two ways – primary and secondary. Primary skin lesions are lesions you’ve been born with, while secondary skin lesions are acquired during your life through sun damage, an accident, or as a result of an acquired skin condition. Your skin lesion removal can either be surgical or non-surgical depending on the size and severity of your treatment area.
How Much does Skin Lesion Removal Cost?
The price of your skin lesion removal will vary depending on the size of the treated areas and your current health insurance plan. To get a better idea of how much your skin lesion removal will cost, come in for a private consultation with Dr. Amy B. Lewis and her staff.
What Can I Expect During my Skin Lesion Removal Procedure?
Before your skin lesion removal begins, Dr. Lewis will apply a numbing agent to the treated area. This is to ensure you remain as comfortable as possible throughout the entirety of your treatment. Once numb, Dr. Lewis will either use surgical techniques or non-surgical procedures like the IPL Photofacial or laser skin resurfacing (LINK) to treat your affected areas. After your skin lesion is treated, you will be able to return to your normal daily activities, including work.
